As customer projects have grown in complexity, so has our involvement, expanding from LV distribution into upstream electrical infrastructure and integration.

Establishment Kempston Controls
In the wake of the Second World War, Kempston Controls was formed as a specialist distributor of American-made parts.
Acquisition of Foxtam Controls
Whilst Kempston Controls had already experimented with own-brand products and manufacturing this expanded significantly with Foxtam Controls.
Acquisition of MEM Manufacturing Facility
We acquired the facility from Eaton, along with all rights to the Memshield 1 & 2 product ranges as we fully embraced a future in manufacturing solutions.
The launch of Kempston Power
Based on previous experience with project related to this sector we have launched a new brand to allow us to dedicate ourselves to the sector as the need for electrification increases.

Kempston Controls was created in the 1930s to distribute American made electrical components. In the years after they expanded to meet the demands of a broader industrial customer base. Through the expansion of their product offer, premises, and business acquisitions, Kempston Controls grew to become one of the UKs premier industrial control component and equipment distributors. Globally they have offices and distribution facilities in Ireland, the UAE and Singapore.
Kempston Controls also manufacture their own products, including MEM Classic circuit breakers, Cutler-Hammer Compatible crane industry components and more. Their vision is to increase market share via clever marketing & selling strategies, embrace new technologies, and to always give an unsurpassed service at the best price.
